Gem Mining

Gem mining is the process of extracting natural gemstones from the earth — a complex and often delicate activity that blends geology, engineering, environmental care, and economic development. Whether deep within the Earth's crust or near its surface, precious stones like sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and tourmalines are formed over millions of years and brought to light through mining.

Our mine is located in the west Maluti Mountains of Lesotho and is renowned for its recovery of large, high quality, exceptional types of diamonds and other gems.
